Stephen Dixon

Stephen H. Dixon, 54, of West Deer Township, died Friday, March 9, 2012, in Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Pittsburgh to Elizabeth A. (Pecman) and the late Henry J. Dixon. Mr. Dixon was a mechanical engineer in the steel industry for 20 years and owned his own business for the past several years. Steve had a passion for mechanics. He enjoyed wrenching on dirt bikes and cars. When not in a garage, he loved being in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing and boating, swimming and diving or just plain relaxing at camp in Tionesta. Above all he loved his family, and they love him. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sandra Dixon, of Cheswick; sons, Christopher L. Dixon, of Cheswick, and Nicholas S. Dixon, of Cheswick; mother, Elizabeth Ann Dixon, of Hampton Township; brother, Michael J. Dixon, of Shaler Township; and sister, Mary E. Dixon, of Hampton Township. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Dixon; and his grandparents. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the HERBERT R. KING, JR. FUNERAL HOME, INC., Allison Park.
