Kimberly Wiefling helps organizations achieve what SEEMS impossible, but is merely difficult. How? By turning managers into leaders and groups into teams.

DEEP EXPERIENCE with JAPANESE COMPANIES: Kimberly has been working in Japan nearly every month for the past 8 years. She writes a monthly column for ALC Press’s Japan-based “English Journal”, and her first book, Scrappy Project Management, was translated into Japanese by Nikkei Business Press.

A TECHNOLOGIST with HUMAN SKILLS: A physicist by education, she realized long ago the limits of technology devoid of human skills – the so-called “touchy feely” aspects of working in teams so vital to success, and so frequently overlooked.

BUSINESS RESULTS FOCUSED: Kimberly facilitates highly engaging organizational change and team effectiveness workshops based on her “Possibilities Toolbox”. Her intensive behavior-changing “learning laboratories”, which she playfully refers to as “workshocks”, directly translate into business results. Her latest book, “Inspired Business Cultures – Discover Your DNA, Engage Your People, and Design Your Future” will be published in the fall of 2014.

SPECIALIZING in CROSS-FUNTIONAL AND CROSS CULTURAL TEAMS: Kimberly has worked globally with people from every corporate function, and from over 50 different countries. Her clients include many well-known global brands in diverse industries.

MAKING a DIFFERENCE: Kimberly is passionate about making a meaningful difference by working with organizations, individuals and teams committed to solving the problems of Our World – profitably and thus sustainably.

You can order her book on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/1600050514/ and see the hilarious video of the nearly-true story of the precarious last hurdles that she overcame to get the book published at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDCJBu3rdvk

Kimberly also edited and co-authored "Scrappy Women in Business" with 11 other businesswomen who live up to the scrappy title. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/o/asin/1600051855/

School Story:

I hated high school! I was too smart and not pretty enough to be popular with the fun crowd. My dad was an alcoholic in those days and I felt like my whole life was coming apart. But somehow my life turned out to be wonderful anyway! I hate to admit it, but the adversity I experienced in my youth made me the Scrappy person I am today. Well, just proves that you can't tell good luck from bad luck when it's happening.

Wishing you all the very best!

Wonderful to read of your purpose in life and the help you are giving to children in Kenya, Karen! One project I worked on with a client last year found that, in Kenya, 70% of milk spoils before it reaches the consumers due to lack of refrigeration. So glad you are working to help the people of Kenya!
